Practice Journal - Day 2 wrap
I've got a lot to do at home tonight. I got in some time on technique and Fall, but I still need to get my other items in.
By the way, if you practice with a computer like I do, a great tool is Ymetronome (google Ymetronome for links). This metronome allows you to increase the tempo at set intervals without stopping your exercise. This is great for technical or scale work. For example, take an exercise that you want to work up to 150 bpm. Start the metronome at 100 and set the metronome to increase the beat by 1 every 10 seconds. That way, you lock into your rhythm at a very manageable tempo and over the next few minutes, you slowly work toward your target goal. IMO - this is much better than stopping your exercise to manually bump up the tempo. You only break your concentration by doing that!
Well, goodnight to all, I'll be back tomorrow with (hopefully good) news on how my practice tonight goes. ![]()
