First off, I feel mucho better - we figured out it was some funky baked beans that we had at memorial day. LOL - just kidding mom!

Anywhoo - Since I couldn't sleep last night, I was up at 2am reading through the method book, then I did some technique exercises to warm up the fingers so that I could get some arpeggio work in. I practiced until 4am, so my 10 minute rule worked (big grin).

Today, I didn't get to work on Fall or the KWS song, I had to get a RATM song ready for one of my students (Killing in the Name). Tom Morello is one of those players that I love every time I hear, but I never seem to spend time working on his style. He's a bit of bombastic rock, mixed with a healthy dose of FUNK with some technical gadgetry thrown in for good measure! Unless I forget again, I may spend a few weeks working through a few Rage and AudioSlave tunes to give him the props he deserves.

I did get some more reading in this afternoon and some ear training. But, I'm falling behind on the other material. Plus, I really need to spend more time with the Bass. I'll have to hit that Friday.

Ok, I'm off tomorrow, so no journal update (we don't have broadband in our neighborhood so I refuse to update my blog at 19.2k dial up - it's a crime i'm telling ya') ... but I will practice. See you Friday!
