First off - the AC is still working - miracles do happen after all eh?

Second, this week has just been "off" with regard to anything structured. I'm off for Edgefest tomorrow and Saturday, so i had a short work week with many hours. Started a few new songs for students, Vultures by John Mayer Trio (cool tune if you haven't heard it - listen to Mayers guitar part and how the Bassline drives the changes from verse to chorus - nice 70's vibe) and Wipeout.

This week, i've hit technique at 103 with no tension in either arm. Just for grins, I tried to max out my speed and found that I could hit 130 bpm (16th notes) on a few exercises. So there you go, you have to play slow in order to get fast(er). Ear training has been hit or miss, mainly if I have time and think about it when the time is available.

The weekly jam session is tonight, so no practice at home. However, playing live with other musicians does more for you than most of your solitary practice. If you don't do this on a semi-regular basis, find others to play with, find a jam session, start a band. Trust me, it will do wonders for your playing.
