Practice Journal - yes, i have been practicing

Wow - I've had a busy week. I thought my teaching load would slow down for the summer, but I've actually picked up several new students (This is a good thing - thank you all!)
With that, practice time has been limited. I did hit technique everyday, the Steve Vai exercise is under my fingers and now being built up in speed, ear training has been limited to just learning tunes for students (which still counts). I did not touch the harmonic minor modes, so that is a must do tonight.
So, my last "must learn" guitar player was Tom Morello - which I spent no additional time with other than learning "killing in the name of". After seeing Eric Johnson again, I've got that itch to work on either East Wes or Manhattan. However, neither song fits my 6 week plan for getting ready for NGW (more prog, metal, rock style). So, I'll add the EJ tunes to my future wish list and revisit them soon (like after I get back from NGW).
See you next entry!
