Well, after another call yesterday (3 calls and 2 email over 4 weeks for your tally), I finally received an email today from Carvin apologizing for the delay and advising me that the guitar would be ready for shipping in 2-3 weeks.

If you're counting, that would put the guitar build time at nearly 4 months. Why are other Carvin customers receiving their guitars in 6-7 weeks if this one took 4 months (and no, I didn't order anything weird like a chrome finish with bejeweled tuners).

Anyway, I needed that guitar for the Nashville trip and considering that trip and my July vacation, I would not receive it until August. So, unfortunately, I had to request a cancellation of the order so that I can try to find another guitar by the end of July.

Hopefully the cancellation process will be handled better that my many attempts requesting status.

I'll wrap up this series in a day or two letting you know.
