The month is over and I am officially in vacation mode. Here is a wrap-up of several items...

1. Carvin - still no guitar. However, I finally reached a supervisor yesterday and was assured that they could finish the guitar and overnight it to me in the window between vacation and my Nashville trip. As I've said before, I love Carvin guitars and that was one sweet guitar I had them build. So, i'll be patient for a few more weeks. God help them if they drop the ball again though. I'll write about the customer services issues and my final thoughts on the whole experience when it is over. Carvin - if you're reading this, do right by this customer so that I can continue to recommend you in good faith.

2. Practice Log - as mentioned, with Carvin and vacation looming, practice logging has been light. Yes mother, I have been practicing - just not logging. I will not have access to a computer or the internet for most of July, so there will only be a few log entries next month. When I'm back in town between vacation & Nashville, i'll post what I practiced. Don't expect much more that "I strummed some chords and played one of those scale thingy's"

3. Jam Sessions - we're finished with the jam sessions until sometime in August. I am also planning on changing the date from Thursday evenings to a new night. The reason(s) being there are so many cool things going on every Thursday (open mic nights, bands, etc) and most of our non-student players are in bands and have to rehearse or play Thursday evenings. If you have any thoughts as to which night works best, let me know.

4. Workshops - thanks for the feedback everyone! I'll release the summer/fall workshop schedule for August - December when I return.

Well, i'm off now to the beach...
 and then to play a lot of guitar in Nashville...
  and then back to the sweetest gig in the world....
    Life is goooood!!!
