Well, I'm back into a routine (for the last few days). Need to keep it up for a few more weeks to get the habit formed.

The kids going back to school really helped. I'm able to start my day earlier now and that has helped me to take care of the business needs first and then have time for my practice.

A quick summary ....

Technique is building back up. My 16th note triplets are giving me trouble, I can't get consistent with my alternate picking, I find my self tending to use economy picking. At slower tempos, it works fine. At quicker tempos, the timing of the two down/up strokes seem to throw me off. I slowed my tempo way down and just worked a few strings yesterday. We'll see how it does today.

Pentatonics and Modes all good ... But my arpeggios are a little rusty running a key in position or going through my inversions. That's what I'll focus on the rest of the week.

Bass - came up with a cool bass line yesterday playing for one of my students. I guess that counts LOL

"Keep up w/student time" - tapped arpeggios in G, working up tempo.

Chords - sucking wind on this one.

That's where I am. How are you doing with your routine?

Man - my routing goes through phases. I'll get several weeks of consistent practice and then POW - travel hits for work and then I get out of the habit.

My worst problem is competing hobbies (ala GGH). If I am behind there, I feel guilty for playing guitar.

Anyway - the postive note is that my 10mo. son LOVES the guitar. I've been playing alot more lately simply because he just loves it when I play.

I've got a fan club of "1"! Woo hoo!
