New Class Idea - Songwriters Circle

If you're a student, you've probably had the dreaded "let's have YOU write a song" discussion at some point during our lessons.
I was thinking the other day that we should start a songwriting circle, where those interested less in being a guitar hero and more in being a songwriter, could get together on a regular basis and work on the craft of songwriting.
I'm thinking something like an hour group class where we get together to work on selected songwriting topics each week, break into smaller groups during the lesson to work on lyrics, arrangements, rhythms, etc., and then come back together at the end of the class to play what we have.
At the end of the term, we could possibly play a show somewhere or record a CD of the tunes (or both).
If anyone is interested in this, let me know. If there are enough people interested, I'll put the class together.
