You have to get your priorities straight !!!

So, I get to work this morning, open the door and smoke billows out of the studio. Thick, suffocating smoke!

What was the first thing I thought of...

Scream and run around the parking lot waving my arms?
Call 911?
Call 911 and then tell the neighbors so they can get out?

No! The very first thing I thought of is "Which guitars do I need to get out of here before the place burns down"

I was more worried with grabbing my new Carvin and then either the Fender Jazz Bass or my Taylor than getting the fire department here!

Long story short, there was no fire. The city was testing the sewers for cracks by setting off massive smoke bombs in the sewers. If there were cracks or dry traps, you would see smoke. Well, looks like our building has some serious pipe issues! The smoke has cleared and the only thing I have to show for it is a slight cough.

So, to wrap up, it seems my priorities are as follows...

1 - Save guitars
2 - don't die while saving gear
3 - Can I get my amps out too?
4 - Consider number 2 again
5 - call 911
6 - Ask the firemen to try and not spray water on the guitars while they put the fire out

Goodnight all, I'm going home!
