The "I didn't really have time...." discussion

Be honest ...
We've all used the reason "I didn't really have time" to do something, when in fact, we did have the time. We just did not use the time we had to do the pending task.
So, what does this have to do with music you ask?
Well, how about practicing?
Everyone seems to have a busy life schedule these days ... Work, School, Sports, Music Lessons, Dance Lessons, Parties, Dances, you name it.
Take a minute and honestly ask yourself, do I really have no spare time in the day or do I use my spare time to do things like watch TV, take naps, read magazines, surf the internet for hours, play video games, etc, etc, etc.
My hunch is, if you're like me, you have the time but just do not use it wisely. I'm right there with you. I should have mowed the yard but I played guitar instead. I should have fixed the faucet but I watched a movie for the 12th time. I should have changed that diaper but I pretended to be asleep so my wife would do it
We all could use some help when it comes to time management. The hardest thing for me is to simply get started doing it. Once I start, the task goes by quickly.
Here is a good link for time management and ways to improve the use of the time you have to spend on things like practicing guitar or bass. Take a look at it and let me know what you think.
