Great Finger Independence Exercise

Had a chord change last night that I was working on where I had to hold a finger down throughout a few different chords. It was a new change so my finger kept wanting to lift as the others moved.

So, I worked a little exercise to help get my finger in line. It's nothing new, but if you have never tried this one, be prepared to put some work in ... it's a tricky little beast!!!

* Hold your second finger down on the 8th fret of the B string and do not lift it as you play this exercise!!!

E--------------------------------------7-9-10-------------------------------------
B-*8-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
G----------------------------7-9-10------------7-9-10---------------------------
D--------------------7-9-10----------------------------7-9-10-------------------
A------------7-9-10---------------------------------------------7-9-10-----------
E----7-9-10-------------------------------------------------------------7-9-10----

Repeat until clean and mistake from for several minutes.

Have fun!!!
