For those of you with Microsoft Word, here is a Practice Log that you can fill in and print off each week.
You've read in the past on how I believe setting goals will help you grow as a player. More importantly, writing down your goals and reviewing them before every practice will increase the likelihood that you will stay on target each practice session and not spin your wheels with endless noodling.
With this practice log, just type in your goals for the week, print it off and then each day, check the goals you worked on (you can add comments also like, "increase tempo next practice", "hold mouth the right way when soloing!!").
By the end of the week, if you've missed any of the goals or need to spend additional time with those that gave you trouble, you can easily see where to spend your practice time.
Good luck and have fun!
