A new motivational tool for practice...

I was listening to the radio the other day and someone had mentioned that they bought a "countdown clock" for a co-worker that was going to retire in the next few months.

The countdown clock was a cute gift that counted down their remaining weeks, days, hours, seconds until they retired.

Well, I thought what a cool tool to use for practice. You could use it as a weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly reminder that time is running out for you to achieve your goals.

So, since most of my practice time is spent with the computer, I downloaded a free countdown clock and set the countdown for New Year 2008.

I looked over my goals and decided what I needed to work on to make my 2007 goals and now I have 1 month, 1 day, 12 hours, 28 minutes and 24 seconds to meet those goals.

Seeing those seconds tick down really get me going to work.

Give it a try and see what you think. Here is a Google link to countdown clocks on the web.
