Hey Folks....
As we're nearing the end of 2007, I've been planing some changes to how I blog. Right now, it's somewhat of a "free-writing" blog. When I get an idea or see something cool on the net, I'll blog about it.
However, I plan to add a little bit of structure in 2008 and place a bit more emphasis on the learning aspect of this site.
Some of the weekly topics that we'll cover are...
1. Scale of the week - provide a scale with a sample chord progression to practice with. You can work this into your practice routine and at the end of 2008, you'll have covered a nice number of scales.
2. Music Theory Quizzes - Short quizzes on theory, such as chord construction, progressions, applicable scales to solo, etc. At the end of the week, we'll provide the answers and see who got it write.
3. Guitar Faces - I'll keep doing this. I love seeing all those cool faces!
4. Weekly practice tips - ideas for improving your practice sessions.
5. Music Discussion - who is hot, who inspires, who makes us drool with envy, etc.
6. Gear Talk - not a lot, our good friend at Guitar Gear Heads have that covered. Just a bit to keep everyone in the loop with cool gear (new or used).
But above all, POST YOUR THOUGHTS and let's build this community up!
