I had seen " The Old Guitarist" (Picasso - 1903) painting before and came across it recently while working on future guitar face entries.
To get ready for the entry today, I did a search on Picasso and this painting and found an article about a poem written by Wallace Stevens Called "The Man with the Blue Guitar" which was supposedly inspired by Picasso's painting.
Well, many of you know I'm a Prince fan and one of his songs has the lyric "See the man with the blue guitar, maybe one day he'll be a star".
So, I start thinking that if that lyric was inspired by the Steven's poem, then by association, that lyric is also inspired by a Picasso painting. Of course, I may be stretching things here as Prince does have a blue guitar.
However, the premise is how interesting "inspiration" is...
The sources of inspiration like art, heartbreak, joy, smells, memories, etc...

The best work of art comes from your inner self. Not with just a painting or a poem. They may gove you the idea but the content would still come from your heart.
