John Mayer, the guy who hit it big with " Your Body is a Wonderland".

Interesting story, this guy. Simply put (and much the same as he has told it in the past)...

Has the big bubble gum pop hit (Wonderland) that sells tons of records. This allows him to play the music he really enjoys, which is more guitar driven, and puts out a killer album, Try! John Mayer Trio Live in Concert, with some really sweet Strat tones and tasty playing.

I worked on Vultures with one of my students, it was a cool song, fun to play and solo over.

Watch the Wonderland video and then the Vultures video. Can you see the change? Both songs are great, both have great guitar parts, but there is something "else" in his playing now. Good Stuff!

Oh yeah, he dated Jessica Simpson too - This guy's got it going on!
