G Dominant 9th Pentatonic
A 5-note (i.e. pentatonic) scale with the root on the sixth string. This is a movable pattern, so learn it in all keys.
Notes / Intervals
G - 1
A - 2/9 (this is the 9th interval)
B - 3 (this note gives it a major tonality)
D - 5
F - b7 (this is the interval that makes it dominant)

Backing Track
This can be used anywhere you would normally play G mixolydian. The backing track is a G9 - F/G progression with a funk style backing.
