If you are a student of mine, you've probably heard me discuss the "Practice Cycle".

The Practice Cycle is a perpetual cycle of improvement and a handy way of looking at your practice routine from a Action/Results view point.

You take an Action - Practice to improve!!!

And view the Results - Improvement

Followed by Action - Your improvement allows you to try to play more challenging pieces

Followed by Results - You're not happy with your sound or ability to play the difficult songs

You take an Action - Practice to improve!!!

The cycle then repeats over and over and over and over...

Remember, there is no end to the learning process, whether it is music or any other endeavor. You always can challenge yourself to grow and improve.

If you don't know what to practice or feel like you are stuck in a rut, check out our recommended learning materials. They may give you some new ideas to work on.

Good Luck!
