Warren Haynes playing guitarOne of our readers requested a Warren Haynes guitar face ... I aim to please, so here he is!

To get a feel for Warren's playing, follow this recipe:

- 1/2 cup good old southern rock

- Mix in 4 heaping tablespoons of the blues

- Combine both with two killer bands, The Allman Brothers and Gov't Mule

- Listen for as long as needed until you feel the urge to grab your guitar to steal all the great licks you hear!

Speaking of the Allman Brothers band, how can you go wrong with a line up that includes Warren Haynes, Dickey Betts and Derek Trucks? If you haven't checked them out, do so - immediately - before you lose your guitar players association membership!!!

Here are some of my favorite videos of these three guys - great playing all around!

Excellent. My wife and I frequently laugh at how different he and Derek are in terms of their demeanor while playing.

Warren lets it all out with the grimaces and facial contortions while Derek just stands there expressionless and stoic. It's all good to me though.

Big fan of Warren, Mule and the ABB - thanks for the post.

Speaking of Derek, have you seen him playing with Eric Clapton and Doyle Bramhall? There's another great guitar trio (looks like G3 has some competition!)

I didn't get to any of the Clapton shows but I've seen some clips and have posted about Doyle on my site. I'm a big fan of all three.

I heard someone say that they thought it was odd that Eric was the 3rd best guitarist in his own band... but I'll leave that for others to debate

The Allman Brothers band has been named for numerous awards and that of course does not come like this but due to the efforts the band is doing in developing rock music. Since its creation in late sixties and the band has been considered as one of the major rock bands and their popularity is obviously noticed. Their tickets are always sold out too early and tickets become so pricy. I do love rock music and I always do my best to attend concerts of such legend bands, but sometimes I could not afford some prices. Lately a friend has recommended me a site where to compare ticket prices for free and I find it interesting idea because this way I can look for the lowest prices before booking.
