I love this picture!
It shows the face that we've all made as we tried to learn a new chord.
This is a case where a picture truly is worth a thousand words!
Bonus Points: What chord is he trying to play?

Since the cuff of his right sleeve appears to be muting the 5th and 6th strings, he is left with an open D on the 4th string and an open G on the 3rd string. Strings 2 and 1 at the 3rd fret are D and G, respectively, so my initial guess is that it is a G5 chord. However, since it is a 12 string guitar, I think this is a trick question. HaHa!

G with the added d on second string? In case anyone is accidentally confused by the joke above, 12-string chords are the same as 6-string...
I had also wondered at first if he was "walking down" a B7 from higher frets for a turnaround. Maybe his fingers just hurt from the extra strings. But yes, we have all made that face.

It was a G, deliberately ham-fisted, for humorous effect
