I was sick yesterday, had to cancel my Thursday lessons so that I could go home, hit the Nyquil and try to sleep it off. Well, I didn't sleep much, but I did watch a movie called "The Fastest Guitar Alive".

"Wow!!!", I thought. Even though I'm feeling terrible, I can watch a movie about the fastest guitar alive.

Then it hit me, Roy Orbison was the lead actor? That guy ain't fast.

Well, the story goes like this....
Fastest Guitar Alive
Roy and his co-actor were spies for the South during the Civil War. They had an assignment to steal gold from the San Francisco Mint in order to finance the South's war effort. Since they were spies, Roy had a rifle built into his guitar (ala James Bond and his many secret toys). He hit a switch for the rifle barrel to come out and then strummed the guitar to shoot!

And there's the twist ... not the fastest gun in the West but the fastest guitar! hahaha NOT!

I think the Nyquil dulled the pain enough to help me last through the movie. I did like one of the songs, River, so enjoy!

p.s. if you rent this movie, don't say I didn't warn you!

When I need to sleep off a sickness, I like to take what I call the "Good Night and Good Luck": 2 doses of NyQuil followed by 2 shots of Jack. Most effective when you've nothing to do until the following afternoon.

    Hmm....

With three kids, I think my wife would frown upon that (knocked out until the next afternoon). About 9 a.m., she'll be standing over me giving me "the look" to get out of bed and corral the kids.

It's kind of like spidey sense, she won't say a word, but I'll have that tingling sensation that danger is near! LOL
