I'm still blushing...
One of my favorite guitar blogs, IG BLOG, gave Little Rock Jams a tip o' the hat by passing along the E for Excellent stamp of approval.
We appreciate the recognition and hope all of our readers enjoy the blog and can get past the guitar geekiness that we exude from time to time. Thanks to everyone that has taken the time to check us out!!!
Now, in return for being tagged as an excellent blog, our duty is to pass on to you, the readers, 10 of our favorite blogs that we consider excellent.
So, without further ado, here are the 10 blogs that Little Rock Jams follows:
IG BLOG - This has been one of my "hope to become as good as" blogs from day one. You can lose a good couple of days with all the goodies in this blog, gear, artists, motivational content, you name it!
From the Woodshed - My favorite guitar blog, hands down. Joe is one sick puppy. He has to practice more than any one else in the world. From tackling Steve Vai's 30 hour guitar work out to recently practicing 24 hours in a row, you get to follow every step. Along the way, Joe posts the epiphanies that result from his efforts! Kudo's Joe!
Leroy Sievers: My Cancer - As someone who has lost family to cancer, and who has family and friends that still do things that increase their risk for cancer, I was drawn to this blog. Leroy is a well known journalist who is documenting his battle with cancer through his blog. It is both inspiring and heart wrenching to read his struggles, but a must read.
Living Life Inside Out - This is a local blog I'm proud to tell you about. One of our students, Barb K., keeps a daily blog of life thoughts, events and meditations. In reading this blog, you'll find that we're all more alike than we think we are.
Hunting the Muse: A creative writing blog - Creativity is essential all arts, be it music, literature, painting, etc. Brady is very creative to say the least. If you love the write, you have to subscribe to this blog.
Sprittibee - We've been very blessed to have several home school families choose us for music lessons. Not knowing much about home schooling, I found Heather's blog and read and read and read. If you home school, or are considering it, check out this blog.
David Seah - In my prior life at at&t (notice, the new at&t, not the old AT&T), it was all about productivity, goal setting and accomplishments (i.e. A&D's to all my old at&t buddies). David's site has been a reliable source for all that and more. Plus, when he post's about music, as he did with his Mission Improbable post, well, that's like gravy on my biscuit!
Jazz Guitar Blog - we love jazz here at Little Rock Jams, even if most of our students only want to play Green Day songs. Hey, I love Billy and the boys too! This blog is full of tasty jazz lines, chord progressions and all things you need to get you swinging!
Blogging Experiment - Once I decided to get serious about promoting our studio blog, I started reading "how to blog sites". One that I love is the Blogging Experiment. Ben Cook decided to use blogging to go from $0 to a full time income in 1 year. Over said year, he would document everything he did in reaching the goal. Last month, Ben sold his website to Max Davis, who is continuing the effort with a slight change of focus to making money through your website.
How to Split an Atom - Another productivity / business lessons / marketing / PR site that I frequent. Steve Spalding posts about nearly everything. Think I'm exaggerating? Check it out. I came across this site when I started posting YouTube videos on the blog. He had a great article on finding the best YouTube Videos. Since then, I've been hooked.
Hope you enjoy these blogs as much as we do! What are some of your favorites?

Thanks so much! I appreciate the hat tip. I loved living up there in Little Rock for the two years we were there. We miss the scenery, the people, and the WEATHER! This past week has been nice in Texas, but the summer is coming...
