Big Announcement - New Studio

Subscribe to my feed! It’s free, easy to do and makes me happy!

The ink is dry and it is official !!!

We have our new studio, located in Breckenridge Village right in front of the movie theater. Just a few blocks east from our current location.

4000 square feet of performance area (with a stage) and private/group lesson rooms.

We're very excited to move in as we're going to start some really great programs. With the construction, it looks like the grand opening will be in August.

Look for an open house announcement with a jam session after the open house!

In the meantime, we need your help.

We're going to paint a mural of the great guitar players of our time and we want your input on who those players are.

Hendrix?

Clapton?

Page?

Randy Rhoads?

SRV?

It's up in the air, so let us know who you think should go on the wall of greats.

Can't wait to see who you pick

    How large is the mural?

Maybe you could do a time-line theme with early guitar gods through present or at least through one of your favorites (Prince). Start w/Robert Johnson, T-Bone Walker, Muddy Waters, BB/Albert/Freddie King(s), Chuck Berry, Chet Atkins, Buddy Holly, Van Halen, Brian Setzer, Lenny Kravitz, Derek Trucks(Not to forget about all the greats you've already listed....)

Just a thought. No matter what, it's gonna be great.

It will be pretty large, the back of the four lesson rooms that face the stage - about 32' long x 10' tall.

I like the idea of a timeline. That way, we can add you at the end

That timeline's a good idea. You could start off with Robert Johnson in black and white, then gradually go to Chuck Berry or Elvis for the 50's, Jimi Hendrix for the 60's, Jimmy Page for the 70's, Van Halen for the 80's, Tom Morello for the 90's, and Either Joe Satriani or Zakk Wylde for the 00's. For some ambiguity, at the end of the timeline you could put a silhouette with a question mark in it.

    All of the above.

    And Mark Knopfler.

    Jeff Beck? Carlos Santana?

I love the timeline idea, but not sure how I'd space them out 'cause most of my faves are from the '60's & '70's but still going strong today. (Except for the dead ones.)

    Nancy Wilson? (Laugh and die.)

I begin to feel bad at some I left out, too...might have to do a "crowd scene" like the Sgt. Pepper cover. Keef, George Harrison, John Fahey...some bass players, too, McCartney and who all? Tal W is young but already deserving, best I ever heard.
