Top 3 iPhone Guitar Apps

Subscribe to my feed! It’s free, easy to do and makes me happy!

Remember the craziness that went on when the iPhone came out last year? I had a student that was one of those people standing in line to buy the new iPhone before the store opened.

I remember that she brought it to her lesson and pulled it out to show me all the cool features. I was impressed, that is until it couldn't seem to connect to the net. Chalk one up for waiting for 2nd generation releases, LOL!!!

(Hi Cheryl!)

Well, it seems that the iPhone has grown up some and now has some pretty cool guitar apps that you can download. I was walking by a lesson room the other day and one of our students was tuning with an iPhone Guitar Tuner.

Well, I decided to check to see what other guitar apps are out there and here are my top three....

iPhone Guitar Tuner

iPhone Metronome

iPhone Chord Chart

So, you can now tune up, find those few chords you need to play a song and practice your changes with the metronome. Who knew a phone could turn into such a useful tool?

Just stay away from the iPhone Guitar app, you need to spend your time playing your real guitar, not your phone!

Guitar chords, a collection of tones that sound together at a time, are set on the guitar in such a way that they can be optimally used together for many playing styles.Several Guitar Chord Charts given in this are very helpful for the online learners.

Yeah, the range of possibilities and apps in the iPhone are amazing. Thats why I don't understand why they haven't developed a guitar tuner app, where the phone actually picks up the frequency of your strings, not just plays the relative pitch...

There are tons of guitar apps on the iphone now, it's very difficult to find a favorite as most of them are pretty good. Perhaps some reviews from a trusted source would come in handy, any suggestions?

This app also helps me out with different tunings. I am learning the Mandolin and the chords, notes, and scales are very helpful for me to have right there in my pocket when I get stuck and need to know quickly what the note is, or what a different chord voicing would be.
