First, check out "Into the night" by Nickleback frontman Chad Kroeger and the great Carlos Santana.
Then, wrap your fingers around the chord progression Brian lays down, Am / C / G / D. You can use your old friend A minor pentatonic over this progression. From the video, it looks like Santana is working patterns 1 and 4 pretty good, see what you can do there.

Something specific I want you to post about? How about your annual Christmas gift suggestions for us non-guitar folks who want to get cool stuff for guitar heros!
And can you get really specific about guitar storage? I've seen some really neat wooden racks for multiple guitars, BUT they were for guitars stored in cases. I wanted something that might make them easy to access. Apparently there's something about the foam used on stands to be careful about, and I'm not clear on whether they should be left out all the time.
Maybe that's two different issues.

I really don't like Nickelback at all but anytime you've got Santana in a song, there's magic!!
