In conjunction with the Rock School concerts, we're holding a food drive to collect food for those in need this Christmas. All students, young and not so young,  are encouraged to attend one of the three concerts as we will be collecting food  for the Arkansas Food Bank. Cost of admission is one canned good or boxed good. (we'll take more if you have it).

From the AFB, here are the top 10 needed items...

  • Canned meats/fish/poultry
  • Canned/Packaged Meals
  • Peanut Butter
  • Cereal
  • Soups
  • Canned Vegetables
  • Canned Fruits
  • 100% Juices
  • Pasta and Pasta Sauces
  • Diapers

These kids have worked hard the last two months and are ready to Rock! Come out and see the next generation of rock stars, and help a worthwhile cause, at Little Rock Jams!

Have you heard of SplashPlay. They have a guitar tuition application on the google android phone.

This app could revolutionize the way music is learned.

      Bleh...

I watched the video on it. The fretlight gutiar already does this, and does it well.

The drawback to splashplay is that it only covers open position. What about all the chords above the fifth fret? What about soloing? It didn't say how the box was supposed to attach to the guitar.

I don't see this taking too much marketshare from the fretlight guitar.

I think it's really great when people join together to try to help people that really need it. Especially this year. There are so many people that truly need the assistance.
