Welcome to Little Rock Jams!

We're a full service music instruction studio, located in West Little Rock in Breckenridge Village, offering private and group lessons for guitar, bass and drums. We offer performance programs, jam session and workshops to enhance the students educational experience.

We also have an instrument repair technician on site to handle your instrument repairs and modifications.

If you have been thinking about learning how to play, or you already play and want to improve, we're the studio for you!

Here are a few of our programs...

Rock School

A performance program for both children and adults, separated by age, where we create student bands (guitar, bass, drums) and teach you a set-list of songs during a weekly private lesson. In addition to the lesson, you also receive a weekly hour rehearsal with your band where you put the songs together for a student concert. At the end of each term, you and your band get to perform for a live audience.

If you have ever thought about being in a band, but could never make it work out, Rock School is the program for you!

Leather pants and black t-shirts are optional

Worship Guitar Group Class

Each week, this class meets to learn new worship songs on guitar and bass. Players will learn to play and sing, open position chords, barre chords, capo use, strum patterns and much more. So whether you love to play and sing at Church Camp, Vacation Bible School or just at home, this is a class that will take your worship to a new level.

Adult Jam Sessions

Open to all students 18+. Our adult jam sessions give you a chance to come and show off your new chops. Instructors will lead the jam session and call out popular tunes by bands like The Eagles, Jimi Hendrix, Steve Miller, Frank Zappa, ZZ TOP, BB King, Stray Cats, Jason Mraz and many more.

Practicing in your bedroom will only take you so far ... playing with other musicians is what you need to take your playing to the next level. Join us for a jam session and become the player you want to be!

Saturday Workshops

To add to your weekly lesson, Little Rock Jams conducts workshops on various topics each month.

Past workshops have included: Classical Guitar, Blues Guitar, Funk Guitar, Songwriting, Blues Lead Guitar, Practice Workshop, Diatonic Modes, Jamming in all 12 keys and many more. These are a part of your lesson fee, so come on out and get some extra musical knowledge!

Guitar Hero Competitions

A little light-hearted competition between all the young and budding Guitar Hero's in our studio. Little Rock Jams hosts Guitar Hero competitions where students 16 and under get to come in and Rock Out to one of the hottest games around.

Once all the dust settles, we crown the Little Rock Jams Guitar Hero ... and pass out some guitar goodies to the top scores.

Then we tell everyone that playing real guitar is better and send them home to practice!!!

Private / Group Lessons

Want to brush up on your jazz theory or simply learn the tricky parts to that Rush song you've been working on? Trying to improve your blues leads? Just want to figure out how to tune the darn thing?

Whatever you want to do, we can teach you. Our staff has both College level and real world experience to help you become the player you want to be!

But remember, you have to do the work. We'll try our best to inspire you, encourage you, make you laugh at a corny joke or two. But in the end, it is your work in the practice room that will make you the player you want to be. We'll be there along the way to help you reach your goals, whatever they may be!

We would love to work with you!

The guitar is an instrument that many people choose to learn when thinking of taking up music. If you're thinking about learning to play the guitar, you're in for an incredible journey. While its hard work and you'll get frustrated often in the beginning, with dedication and perseverance you can become a reasonable guitar player in a very short time.
